5. Sacré – Coeur Church
A Roman Catholic church dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Sacre-Coeur is located at the summit of the Butte Montmarte, the highest point in the city.
The design was inspired by the social division in France after the French Revolution between the Catholics and royalists and the democrats, socialists and radicals.
The Sacre-Coeur is both a national and cultural monument, representing the national penance for the defeat of France in the Franco-Prussian War and the Paris Commune of 1871.
4. Arc De Triompe
Arc De Tromp is definitely one of the famous monuments in Paris, the Arc de Triompe honours those who died for France in the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars.
The names of all French victories and generals are inscribed on its surfaces and beneath it lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from World War I.
It started to build in 1806 but was never completed until 1836 because of Napoleon’s fall from power. When Napoleon died, his funeral procession went under the arc. The top of the arc is accessible and visitors can get a view of Paris in this historical structure.
Interesting fact: There are a total of 12 Streets that leads to this Majestic Building. All of these 12 streets are name after French Military Leaders and the view on top this building is magical.

3. Musee Du Louvre (Louvre Museum)
Musee du Louvre is one of the world’s largest museums and a historical monument in Paris.
It was built as a fortress in the late 12th century and today it is the most visited museum in the world.
The museum exhibits 35,000 objects from prehistory to the 21st century and contains the famous Mona Lisa painting. You should really be here to experience the artist atmosphere!
Louvre Museum is conveniently located on the Right Bank of the Seine in the 1st arrondissement.

2. Notre Dame Cathedral
Do you remember Disney Notre Dame? Yes, this is the famous Church that appear in the cartoon!
Notre Dame de Paris is a historic Catholic cathedral which is considered one of the finest examples of French gothic architecture.
It is notable for containing some of Catholicism’s most important first class relics, the Crown of Thorns, a fragment of the True Cross, and one of the Holy Nails.
The precious historical site was almost destroyed during the French revolution. Thankfully, restoration works began in 1845 and further restoration works and maintenance began in 1991, becoming one of largest and well known church buildings in the world.

1. Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower was named after the engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel who designed the tower. The tower held the title of the tallest man-made structure in the world for 41 years since construction.
Originally Eiffel Tower act as the entrance arc to the 1889 World’s fair.
It is now the tallest structure in Paris and definitely it is the most visited paid monument in the world. So if you are in France, It is definitely worth a visit to this landmark of Paris!
